Joanna Wrońska

I am an English-speaking psychologist and psychotherapist offering individual, couple, family therapy and counseling, including for those having parenting issues. With 15 years of therapeutic practice in the humanistic-experiential approach, I create a space of unconditional acceptance, empathy, and personal authenticity for my clients.

I completed 3 years of psychotherapeutic training at the Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy Center “Trójmiasto,” affiliated with the Polish Society for Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy, based on the standards of the European Federation of Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy (EFPP) and I subject my work to regular supervision.

My professional experience encompasses a wide range of mental health and education services in the public and non-public sectors. These include crisis intervention centres, anti-violence centres, adult therapy centres, kindergardens, schools and psychological and pedagogical counseling centres. I also co-created the Gdańsk model of helping an abused child and their family.

My therapy approach is person-centered, based on the individual’s history and needs. I work with adult patients experiencing crises related to change and losses, including depression and anxiety states, and problems in close relationships. I provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as consultations for couples. In justified situations, online consultations are possible.

Furthermore, I have training in cross-cultural psychology to provide counselling, support, and cultural training for those who are having difficulty adjusting to the Polish reality and acculturation, raising children in a new culture and educational system, or are having problems getting along with Polish colleagues, partners, or family.
