Kateryna Katerynchuk
I am an English-speaking psychologist and psychotherapi
My principal working method is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have completed a 4-years training program at the Ukrainian Institute of CBT. Additionally, I did the training on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is my tool for working with couples. I am a member of Ukrainian Association of CBT and International EFT Association (ICEEFT). I work with adult clients and couples, and have 5-years professional experience as a psychotherapist.
In my practice I mainly work with people who are struggling with depression, various anxiety disorders (panic attacks, phobias, social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder), traumatic experiences, loss, grief, PTSD, low self-esteem, relationship problems, burnout syndrome. I also may be helpful to people having self-doubts and lack of
self confidence, difficulties with understanding their emotions and self-regulation, searching their professional identity or struggling to take important decisions or choices in their lives. Not to mention that therapy is a good tool for personal growth and development, finding a work-life balance and improving the quality of life.
I am an attentive and supportive therapist, respectful and sensitive to people’s personal stories and experiences. In the process of therapy, we become partners with the client: me being the expert in the method, and the client – the expert in his inner world and life. Together we explore the difficulties the client is struggling with, reach a common understanding of why and how these difficulties arise, set goals in therapy and agree on our therapy plan. In the process of the therapy I share my knowledge, the client learns and masters helpful tools and skills, thus regaining more control over his life and becoming “a therapist to himself” which is an ultimate goal of a successful therapy.
I believe that every person has a huge potential for a change and deserve a meaningful and happy life. Psychotherapy has tools and methods that may help you do this, and I would be glad to share them with you.
